About Share Safe

Share Safe is a feature that allows you to safely exchange files with clients or third parties without having to create a portal. You can send files stored in Document or on your computer via the Microsoft® Outlook® Plug-ins. Clients use a firm-specific URL that you share with them to access files sent to them or to upload files to the firm.

No logins, passwords, or user maintenance are required in Share Safe, which reduces the workload for your staff and increases convenience for your clients. However, as with Portal, files exchanged through Share Safe are encrypted to ensure that your data is secure. File recipients must enter a file access key that they receive via email before they can download files.

To display your firm-specific Share Safe URL, click Share Safe > Share Safe URL on the main Document button bar. You can then copy the URL to paste into emails or other documents. If needed, your firm administrator can edit the URL.

Note: You can use Share Safe with Document alone or with Portal and Document together.
